Go Online Internet Marketing will develop and execute a professional search engine placement strategy.

Online Internet Marketing search engine placement will focus on proven strategies to increase your organic search results. Although these concepts are simple, they require experience, persistence, and know-how. Here are just a few of the search engine placement techniques you can use to increase your results once you've selected a keyword or keyword phrase.

Secret #1: Don't optimize for a single keyword, optimize for a keyword phrase. When you optimize for a single keyword, more often than not, that word is highly competitive and your chances of coming out on top are minimal. Where you gain a significant internet search engine advantage is by focusing on a keyword phrase. This actually increases your chances of high search engine placement and helps you towards ranking well on all major search engines for the single word you originally chose as your ideal keyword.

Secret #2: Place your keyword phrase within the first 25 words of text, and the last 25 words of text on your web page. Proximity to the beginning and ending of your website are paramount for search engine marketing. This tells the search engines that the keyword phrase is important to the content of your web site..

Additionally, place the keyword phrase throughout your page. Each search engine optimization specialist has a different view on how to do this effectively. Regardless of your particular preferences- be sure to bold the phrase once, italicize the phrase once, and underline the phrase once. Mention your keyword phrase every paragraph or so. Just make sure that it appears natural. If you stuff the page with keywords, you'll potentially turn off browsers who would otherwise find your page valuable. Additionally, search engines can tell when your stuffing your pages with keyword, having a negative impact on your search engine results.

Some of the client’s I’ve worked with have struggled to find an appropriate place to include their keyword phrase. One technique you can use is to include your keyword phrase just after your copyright notice on the bottom of your webpage. This ensures that it appears within the last 25 words of your page. An example would be, © 2007. MarketingScoop.com Marketing Experts.

Secret #3: In addition to where your keyword is placed, good internet marketing strategy for search engine placemrnt means it is also important how it appears. Place your keywords in an h1 tag towards the top of your webpage. An <h1> tag, also known as a headline tag, is the code you use to display your headline in large type. Although this may seem awkward depending on your website layout, it is one of the most powerful secrets you can use to boost your search engine optimization results. Additionally, you can change the display of your h1 tags using a cascading style sheet.

If possible add a number of sub-headings using an <h2> and/or <h3> tag. Smaller than an h1, but still significant, using your keyword phrase in these tags is also very valuable to search engines. They also help to organize your content in a meaningful way.

Secret #4: Be sure to place your keyword phrase in your meta tags (the HTML code that appears at the beginning of your webpage) – specifically your page title and description. Try to repeat your keyword phrase twice in your description tag. Your meta tags should look like this (this is only a sample):

How to find the best keywords for your web site

Keywords are the words that web surfers enter in search engines to find web sites. It is important that your website has good search engine rankings for popular keywords that are related to the theme of your web site.  we use the term "keywords" for single word keywords and for keyword phrases, for example "hiking boots shop chicago".

The right keywords are important to the success of promoting your website!

It's pointless to optimize your web pages for keywords that nobody uses in the search engines. In addition, in order to get targeted visitors, the keywords must not be too broad or too general. We help you build a list of keywords that people use on search engines to find your website.

Which keywords are the right keywords for your website?

Use focused and targeted keyword phrases that are common enough so the web searcher will use them, but selective enough that they don't return millions of matches. Very specific keywords generate highly qualified, targeted traffic that increases your sales. The first step in choosing the right keywords is to make them very specific.

  • Use keyword phrases that consist of two to four words
  • Avoid very competitive keywords
  • Be specific
  • Only use the keywords that are important to you

For a successful online marketing campaign, you have to target the right keywords. The keywords you use should be relevant for your web site and web surfers should be searching for your keywords. Most people use a two to four word phrase in a search, so phrases are very effective.

Single words cannot be promoted effectively. For example, it is not likely that someone looking for "free software download" is going to type just "software" into the search box.

Avoid the most popular keyword phrases because you'll be competing with millions of other pages for a search engine's attention. It is unrealistic to think that a new website could rank number one on a popular phrase like "mp3". More established companies who have been on the Internet for several years will have the big advantage of a high link popularity.

Internet users who use four-word searches are more likely to purchase goods or services than those using fewer words (source: Oneupweb Research). Start with multiple word keywords and then extend your keyword list. Search engines analyze all pages of your web site and put them in a context.

Start with multiple word keywords and then extend your keyword list.

If you're selling MP3 files, you should optimize your web pages for keywords such as "independent bands mp3", "alternative grunge mp3", "pop music mp3 download" and similar keywords first. If your web site many rankings for these keywords, search engines will find out that your web site is relevant to the mp3 topic. As soon as search engines consider your web site relevant to this topic, it will be much easier to get high rankings for keywords such as "mp3 download" or even "mp3".

Search Engine Placement Strategy Trap PDF Print E-mail
Saturday, 29 August 2009 18:51

The easiest trap to fall into is focusing on search popularity numbers alone. If a keyword tool shows that Word A gets 20,000 monthly searches and Word B gets only 5,000 searches, then Word A must be the better choice, right?

Not necessarily. Keyword relevance is at least as important as raw search popularity. As a rule, the more specific a search query, the better your chance of converting a search result into a sale, and sales are what it’s all about.

Consider this example: Overture’s keyword tool say that a whopping 136,960 searches are conducted each month for the term “sports cars,” while only 2,545 searches are conducted for “Jaguar XK8.” But someone searching for “sports cars” is early in the buying cycle and may just be searching for information about different makes and models. Someone searching for a Jaguar XK8 has a clear idea of what they want. This is a much more valuable customer.

One of the most common misconceptions about conducting keyword research for a search engine optimization campaign is the belief that you already know which terms a customer would use to find your site, but in fact it's difficult to predict which keyword phrases a customer will search for.  It is easy to develop a list of industry jargon, but it is difficult to determine how different individuals will apply it.

The best way to develop a keyword phrase list is through customer research to determine the most commonly used search phrases.  Go Online Internet Marketing uses technology advanced tools to conduct our research to find the best words that will attract the most amount of search traffic.

Once your website has been found, your potential customers will find the same keywords they searched for in the body of your website text.  This will start building a common language between you and your potential customers.  They will think they have found what they were looking for.

Do you know which keywords your competitors are targeting?

Go online Internet Marketing will tell you the exact phrases that are driving the most traffic to your competitors' websites, helping you increase targeted traffic to your website.

Learning what keywords your competitors are targeting may be your best source of competitive advantage in online advertising.

Advertisers with larger keyword lists win more traffic at a lower cost per visitor than their competition. Why? Because search engine users tend to type in specific, 2-4 word phrases to find what they're looking for.

When your targeted terms match what they're looking for, your ads are shown more prominently and receive a higher click-through rate than the ads targeted to more general terms. Furthermore, because most online advertisers tend to target broad, generic terms, there is less competition for these longer, more specific keyword phrases.

This translates into more traffic to your website from a more pointed target audience.

Group all of your keyword phrases into Keyword groups.  Group the keyword phrases by one or two main keywords they have in common. For instance, 'large light widget' and 'large shiny widget' go in one group, while 'small light widget' will go to another group, because we already have two main keywords. The end of this process would be a list of keyword phrases, grouped by common keyword(s). The groups you divided your keywords denote the topics you should write about. See if you can write a topic around a single keyword phrase. If not, seek a complimentary keyword phrase from the keyword group or the whole list, and check again. Finally, you should arrive at a list of topics that you should write about.

Saturday, 29 August 2009 18:42

When you have found the right keywords for your web site, you have to optimize your web pages for high search engine rankings. Only optimized web pages can have good search engine rankings.

Optimizing your web pages involves these steps:

  • Create a list of all your products and services organized by different product lines and product groups within each product line
  • Create a list of keyword phrases that you found through marketing research that best matches your product line
  • Map each keyword phrase to a product or service that most closely matches

Matching the keyword phrases that people most use to find the products and services that you offer is the best way to have people:

  • Find your website
  • Be interested in your message.

How to use the keyword research data? Naturally, you'll need to use your keyword research results. The only way you can do that is to create or modify your existing content. We will add your keywords to your page titles, meta tags, etc apart from rewriting website copy to include the keyword phrases.
